Acne is multi-factorial, meaning it can be caused by multiple overlapping factors, the main ones being: the overproduction of oil, c.acnes bacteria, clogged pores, and inflammation.

Retinol, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, and niacinamide are all acne-fighting ingredients. Each tackles the cause of acne in its own way. Sometimes you may need to approach breakouts with a combination of these ingredients, but watch out because they can be irritating.

Salicylic Acid

  • Oil-Soluble so deeply penetrates pores
  • Comedolytic (unplugs dead skin cells)
  • Anti-inflammatory

Adverse Effects:-  Can be mildly irritating & Drying

Niacinamide

  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Regulates sebum productions
  • Improves your skin barrier

Adverse Effects:-  Can be mildly irritating for some
